Introduction to the Three Courses
Introduction to the Three Courses

Choose student's “One’s way” learning from 3 courses connected with computer-application techniques

The Department of Information and Electronic Engineering offers 3 courses that extend from computer software to hardware. students deepen technical knowledge and enhance technical capabilities to be information engineers who can build and operate information systems as software in the "Computer Science Course", and to be information engineers who can produce functional and easy-to-use multimedia contents applying a wide range of media expression technologies in the "Information Media Course", to be a electronics engineer who can design and manufacture electronic systems as hardware in the "Robot/Mechatronics Course". All students acquire the basics of computers such as programming and logic circuits, and choose one of the three courses when they advance to the 2nd year aiming to become an engineer of “One’s way”.

Computer Science Course

Information engineers who can build and operate an information system as software
In the Computer Science Course, students acquire the ability to build and operate an information system as software by deepening their expertise in the field of Information Science through classes such as Information System Design, Software Engineering, Database Theory, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Graph Theory, Automaton and Computational Theory, as well by improving technical skills through Information Science Programming, basic information science training and information science training. In graduation research, students work on themes in fields such as education learning support systems, information security and cryptography, machine learning, intelligent information processing systems, and visualization technologies of network and program.

Information Media Course

Information engineers who can produce functional and easy-to-use multimedia content
In the Information Media Course, students acquire the ability to create functional and easy-to-use multimedia content apply a wide range of media expression technologies by deepening their expertise in the field of information media through classes such as image information processing, computer graphics, modeling and animation, practical pattern recognition, multimedia design, web technology, web applications, and human computer interaction as well as by improving technical skills through media programming, basic information media training, and information media training. In graduation research, students work on themes in fields such as 3D computer graphics, digital comics, virtual reality, pattern recognition application technology, and web applications.

Robot / Mechatronics Course

Electronics engineers who can design and manufacture electronic systems as robot technology
In the Robot Mechatronics Course, students acquire the ability to design and manufacture electronic systems as robot technology by deepening their expertise in the electronics field through classes such as measurement theory, control engineering, embedded systems, robotics, robot control, mechatronics, electronic devices, communication systems, etc., as well by improving their technical capabilities through electronics experiments and robot / mechatronics experiments, electric circuit exercises, etc. In graduation research, students work on themes in fields such as autonomous robots, photovoltaic systems, quantum computers, biometric information measurement, optoelectronics, and medical robots.
