The law and politics are familiar parts of our daily lives. It is very important for the general public, as well as those aiming to work as a legal professionals such as lawyers or civil servants, to acquire knowledge of law. At the Faculty of Law, based on the educational guidelines of our university, students will acquire basic knowledge about the law, well-balanced senses of judgment and logical thinking, as well as flexible modes of thought which are not restricted by the boundaries of existing academic fields. We also aim to nurture the kind of talent able to deal with various national and regional problems on a global scale and meet the law-related needs of society.

In countries which subscribe to the rule of law, the law is the foundation of civil life. We nurture people who understand this at a deep level and will play an active role in this socioeconomic environment.
Students will be introduced to the education of the Faculty of Law, where they can acquire a wide range of knowledge ranging from basic knowledge of the law to advanced, specialized knowledge.
The Faculty of Law provides students with an ideal environment for learning about the law and politics. We have a mock courtroom where students can get hands-on experience while reproducing the interactions taking place in a court, software which allows students to freely search for materials such as records of court proceedings, legal precedents, and newspaper articles, and more.
At the Faculty of Law, students can aim to acquire qualifications according to their own interests and goals, in addition to civil servant qualifications.
The Faculty of Law produces graduates who contribute to society by being active in various fields as they make use of their knowledge of law and politics.
What kind of image do you have of Faculty of Law? "It's rigid," "There's not much point in going unless you want to be a lawyer or a civil servant," "It's not versatile." If you have such preconceived notions, they are wrong. Both law and political science are indispensable academic fields in solving various problems in society. The logical thinking skills cultivated through learning here will be a great asset in various workplaces. You will also develop a flexible sensitivity to a dynamically changing society. We also welcome those who have not yet decided on their future goals. In addition to scholars specializing in law and political science, our faculty has a diverse profile, including those with practical experience in the legal profession, government agencies, journalism, etc. Based on School Philosophy of our university, we will cultivate human resources with a rich humanity and expertise through Practical learning.
