In modern society, a variety of issues are intricately intertwined on a global scale, and it is essential for engineers to have a broad perspective. At the Faculty of Science and Engineering, students acquire a wide range of knowledge related to basic science, engineering, and life sciences through experiments, practical training, theoretical calculations, and practical learning that incorporates human factors. Furthermore, by providing opportunities for students to learn practical skills as well as how to use cutting-edge technologies in the engineering fields, we aim to produce engineers with originality and creativity who will lead the future. We nurture human resources who, in addition to such specialized knowledge, have the ability to make decisions with an international perspective that will enable all people to live in peace and have equal access to the wealth of resources and civilization.
Through basic research and applied science, students aim to master technologies that are useful to humanity and society. We nurture thoughtful, creative engineers who will act as pioneers of our times to transform the power of science into the power of the future.
We provide a thorough practical learning curriculum that helps students learn to think logically through practical application. In order to realize our philosophy, a high-quality curriculum has been established by faculty members with a wealth of experience. Cross-faculty and cross-disciplinary initiatives and Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration projects have also been launched to this end.
By providing opportunities for practical learning and cutting-edge technology as students study a wide range of basic disciplines in depth, we aim to develop engineers with a broad perspective and an international mindset who can contribute to the future of human society.
In order for our students to achieve even better results as we incorporate rapidly changing cutting-edge technologies, we actively promote joint team research across departments and faculties, as well as joint research projects with external research institutes and other universities.
The Utsunomiya Campus, where the Faculty of Science and Engineering is located, has a wireless LAN environment on campus, along with a learning support system and class attendance management system that utilize the Internet.
We proactively promote a wide range of technological research and development efforts in collaboration with manufacturers of automobiles, materials, and biotechnology products, as well as aerospace companies, research institutes such as the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), local governments, and other universities, successfully producing numerous results.

The Learning Support Office, faculty members, and staff work together to support the career development of students by providing a curriculum that works toward the acquisition of qualifications, as well as a place for practical learning.
Many Teikyo University graduates are active as an engineers in the manufacturing and information communication industries, utilizing the specialized knowledge and skills they gained in their respective departments and courses. Some students go on to enroll in graduate school for advanced research opportunities.
We promote practical learning that allows students to experience cutting-edge technology firsthand with a complete range of state-of-the-art facilities, including a practical facility for learning skills related to automobile design and maintenance, a hangar with actual aircraft including supersonic aircraft, as well as machine tools and various equipment for testing, experimentation, analysis, and observation.

We must urgently recover and nurture talented individuals in the fields of science and engineering to prepare for the future of humanity around the world. Through education, research, and practical learning, the Faculty of Science and Engineering has been nurturing scientists and engineers with creativity, humanity, and compassion.
We must remind ourselves of this mission for society that we have undertaken at the Faculty of Science and Engineering and put in effort every day to ensure the safety and security of society that is enabled by the richness of the human spirit, which our students will cultivate under the guidance of experienced faculty members during their formative youth.
