[US-China Relations Symposium] Escalating US-China trade friction and conflict and its impact on the Japanese and global economies
Trump's tariffs are sending shock waves through the global economy. The tit-for-tat battle between the U.S. and China, including retaliatory tariffs and countermeasures, is not only having a negative effect on the economies and imports and exports of both countries, but is also accelerating the disruption of industrial supply chains around the world, adversely affecting global economic growth. This symposium will discuss with leading experts the nature and problems of the escalating US-China conflict and trade and technology friction, as well as their future direction and their impact on the Japanese and global economies.
