New course launched for Division of Nursing
Teikyo Graduate School Graduate School of Medical Care and Technology Division of Nursing (2-year course of study) plans to open an advanced practice nursing program in April 2025 with the aim of training Certified Nurse Specialists (CNS) *1 and Clinical Nurse Practitioners (NP) *2 as advanced practice nurses with high levels of expertise and excellent nursing practice skills.
The previous course will continue as the Nursing Research Course.

- Nurturing advanced practice nurses who can put into practice highly specialized knowledge and skills

- *1 To obtain this certification, you must have more than five years of practical experience, complete this course and obtain the necessary credits, and then pass the certification exam administered by the Japan Council Graduate School of Nursing Professional Training (General Incorporated Association).
- *2 Of the 21 categories of specific procedures, training will be provided for 20 categories of specific procedures, excluding "drug administration related to skin damage." The specific procedure for "drug administration related to skin damage" is "local injection of steroid drugs and adjustment of dosage when anticancer drugs or other drugs have leaked out of the blood vessels," but local injection of steroids is no longer recommended due to the revision of the guidelines for extravasation. Therefore, at our university, training will be provided for the 20 categories of specific procedures excluding this category.
