The Graduate School of Law seeks to develop advanced legal processing skills and logical thinking abilities in researchers, legal professionals, public servants, and businesspeople by giving them the capacity to make more advanced judgments and acquire a legal mindset in the handling of legal issues. Degrees are awarded to those who have acquired the following abilities and have completed the prescribed credits.

Master's course

1. Based on their legal education, students should be able to comprehend social issues related to legal phenomena in a complete and integrated manner and offer suggestions for how to address these problems.
2. The student should be able to find solutions to various issues in contemporary society and possess a solid foundation in education and professional ethics.

Doctoral degree program

1. Based on their legal education, students should be able to comprehend social issues related to legal phenomena in a complete and integrated manner and offer suggestions for how to address these problems while also taking into account different legal systems.
2. The student should have a high standard of professional ethics and be able to identify the rules of conduct for various situations in contemporary society.

The Graduate School of Law shall structure its curriculum in accordance with the following guidelines in order for students to gain the skills necessary for the awarding of degrees:

Master's course

1. A class structure that can handle several forms of qualification exams, including the civil service exams, must be developed by the institution. In particular, in the Certified Public Tax Accountant Course, the faculty members are composed of highly competent professionals for students planning to sit for the Certified Public Tax Accountant test. The school also works to improve its research and guidance capabilities and to uphold the spirit of "Practical Learning."
2. In order to obtain a master's degree, students will receive detailed individual research guidance from academic advisors, the results of which will be reflected in a master's thesis and other publications.

Doctoral degree program

1. Academic advisors provide students with thorough one-on-one research guidance as they work toward a doctorate; the outcomes are then compiled in a doctoral dissertation while taking into account comparative legal perspectives.
2. Since the subject matter of research has been becoming more and more complex in recent years, a group guidance system with multiple supervisors will be implemented as needed, and interim thesis presentations will be held to assist students in reaching the appropriate level of research required for each process and in obtaining their degrees.

The Graduate School of Law, in keeping with the School's Philosophy, aims to produce not just researchers and legal professionals, but also public officials and businesspeople equipped with sophisticated legal processing abilities and logical thinking by giving them a better degree of judgment and legal mindset in the handling of legal matters in their respective fields of expertise.
Studying law entails "accurately grasping the issues of today's highly complex society and using logical thinking skills to make concrete proposals for future guidelines," and for this reason, students need to possess not only a strong foundation in the law but also a legal mindset, as well as linguistic and liberal arts skills for comparative legal research.
We are looking for candidates with the skills and traits listed below who have completed the aforementioned undergraduate coursework, among other places.

   We are particularly interested in students who aspire to contribute to society through a wide range of law-related activity, such as those who intend to pursue careers as scholars, lawyers, or public officials after graduation, as well as those who have an interest in corporate legal concerns.
