In diversified science and technology fields
Develop human resources from a comprehensive perspective

In the fields of science and technology, new changes continue to occur at a rapid pace. In the Division of Integrated Science and Engineering, we aim to develop human resources with a wide range of perspectives as engineers who can create the future of humankind while responding to such changes.

Outline of the Division of Integrated Science and Engineering

Image of human resources to be trained
Our philosophy is to utilize "materials," "energy," "information," and "life" peacefully and economically for the sake of humankind and social welfare, and we aim to develop human resources who can respond to further innovation. Furthermore, we will develop human resources who can respond to internationalization with a broad perspective by conducting advanced education and research in science and engineering beyond the boundaries of each field.

Guidance policy
In order to respond flexibly in the rapidly developing science and technology fields, we are actively incorporating our own systems. For example, a skipping class system that allows to enter Graduate School after completing the third year of the Undergraduate programs so that excellent students to work on their own themes as soon as possible, Teaching assistant system that hires as educational assistants for undergraduate and Graduate School experimental training and exercises to provide training opportunities to become researchers, and acceptance of working adults and foreign students.

Research system
This campus is located on a vast site surrounded by the rich nature of Utsunomiya City, and is equipped with research facilities such as a plant greenhouse, a model airfield / hangar, and a workshop factory. We are also actively promoting the introduction of Japan's leading research equipment and cutting-edge research equipment. Research utilizing these facilities and equipment has been published in academic societies and academic journals in Japan and overseas, and has been highly evaluated. Taking advantage of the location of Tochigi Prefecture, which has one of the largest industrial complexes and abundant agricultural land in Japan, we are actively engaged in joint research and development with local industries.
