Fukuoka CampusDementia Supporter Training Course Held for New Students at Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology

From May to June 2025, a dementia supporter training course was held at Teikyo University's Fukuoka Campus for new students at Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology.
This course is held every year with the cooperation of Omuta City for new students, with the aim of deepening correct knowledge and understanding about dementia and training them to become dementia supporters who will support people with dementia and their families.
This year, we invited Senior Assistant Professor from hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in Omuta City to teach basic knowledge about dementia, as well as the mindset and key points to keep in mind when interacting with people with dementia. The first-year students listened intently to Senior Assistant Professor' explanations, deepening their interest and understanding of dementia.

At Fukuoka Campus, we will continue to work even harder to train medical professionals who are rooted in the local community.
