Teikyo Sports Supporters Association and Rugby Football Club held on-campus event

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the Teikyo Sports Supporters Association and Rugby Football Club held an on-campus event at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus students could experience rugby. The event was planned primarily by students from the Teikyo Sports Supporters Association with the aim of providing an opportunity for students and faculty to experience the appeal of Teikyo sports up close and personal and to increase interest in club activities.

The event took place during the lunch break, so many students gathered at Mominoki Square. Although they were confused by the rugby ball they were handling for the first time, they had fun trying out passing, trying out the fascinating lineouts in rugby matches, and seeing the powerful scrums up close. They also distributed flyers about Rugby Football Club 's spring tournament, and carried out other activities to increase student interest.
Teikyo University will continue to create student-led opportunities for students to interact with each other through sports and work to make the campus a lively place.
