Itabashi CampusKita-ku Preconception Care Lecture Held by Our University Faculty

A preconception care course was held by a faculty member of the Department of Maternal Department of Nursing, Faculty of Medical Technology, Teikyo University, at the Kita Ward Health Support Center for three days on Saturday, October 26, 2024, Sunday, December 8, 2024, and Saturday, January 18, 2025. This course was held at the request of the Health Policy Section, Health Policy Division, Health Department, Kita Ward Office.

Preconception care means health management for future pregnancies, and this time, midwife spoke to people aged 18-39 living in Kita Ward about knowledge, lifestyle habits, and examinations related to future pregnancies and childbirth. Around 10 people attended each session, and seemed to listen attentively. Our university and Kita Ward have been working to strengthen Community Engagement for some time now, and we work together in various ways, including the event "Teikyo Kenko Hiroba" organized by the department and Teikyo Kenko Hiroba Steering Committee.
Our university will continue to value collaboration with the local community and engage in social contribution activities.
