Ekiden (Road Relay) Club finished the first leg of the Hakone Ekiden in 14th place.

At the Hakone Ekiden (101st Tokyo-Hakone Round-Trip College Ekiden Race) held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, the Teikyo University Ekiden (Road Relay) Club finished the first leg in 14th place. This marks the 26th time that the university has participated, and the 18th year in a row. Along the course, the university's brass band, Cheerleading Club, and faculty and staff came to support the team at each point, cheering on the team as it took on the Ekiden (Road Relay) Club.

After receiving the sash from Akio Shimada (3rd year, Faculty of Medical Technology) and Hiroo Yamanaka (4th year, Faculty of Liberal Arts) in the 1st and 2nd sections, the team was able to finish in 14th place, 1 minute 25 seconds behind the 10th place university, which was seeded. We look forward to your continued support on the return leg tomorrow, Friday, January 3rd.
