Division of Japanese History and Cultural Properties | Division of History and Cultural Heritage Studies | Master's course: 10 students Doctoral course: 5 students |
The current courses offered in Division of Japanese History and Cultural Properties include courses related to Japanese history, archaeology, art history, and cultural heritage studies, as well as courses related to geography, oriental history, and western history. These courses correspond to the six courses offered by Faculty of Liberal Arts of Department of History at our university: Japanese history, oriental history, western history, archaeology, geography, art history, and cultural heritage. By changing the current name of the major from "Japanese history" to the more comprehensive term "history studies," we hope to convey the learning environment of our graduate school more clearly. In addition, the name of the major "Cultural Heritage Studies" has been changed to "Cultural Heritage Studies" in consideration of connectivity with the Art History and Cultural Heritage courses in Department of History.
