On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Teikyo University Mental Health Center held an open lecture entitled "How to care for the mind when living with cancer - from the perspective of psychologists and pharmacists" at the Teikyo University Hachioji Campus.
In this lecture, Toshiko Sato, Teaching Associate Teikyo University Mental Health Center took the stage and introduced the importance of mental care for patients undergoing cancer treatment, including their families, and local residents who are interested in the topic, as well as the consultation desks where they can receive support. After the lecture, participants had the opportunity to interact with each other and tour Teikyo University Mental Health Center.
There was lively interaction between participants on the day, and many questions were asked, such as how to consult with their doctor and the current state of palliative care in the local area.
Teikyo University will continue to give back the results of its research and education to society through public lectures.
