On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, a hygiene and public health training report session was held by fifth-year medical students at School of Medicine University's Itabashi Campus, with the participation of related faculty members.
Students who participated in the clinical training in Vietnam in July 2024 gave a report using slides, sharing their impressions and thoughts. During this training, they were able to strongly feel the current medical situation and environment in Vietnam, cultural differences, and the importance of language skills. Seeing the current situation different from what they had imagined and the information they had, their perspective changed and they were able to learn a lot. Based on this experience, each student was able to broaden their horizons and it was a good opportunity to think about the challenges and solutions in medical care in other countries and Japan.
It is hoped that these experiences will be put to good use in their future medical studies, medical activities, and as they strive to become medical professionals with an international perspective.
