The 158th Itabashi CampusKoshinetsu Branch Meeting of the Japanese Society for Transfusion Cell Therapy was held at Itabashi Campus of our university.

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, the 158th Kanto Koshinetsu Branch Meeting of the Japanese Society of Transfusion Cell Therapy was held at the Clinical Auditorium on Teikyo University's Itabashi Campus, with Professor Fujiwara Takanori of the Department of Department of Clinical Laboratory Science Faculty of Medical Technology Technology, serving as chairman.
The theme of this symposium was "Recent developments in transfusion and cell therapy," and two lectures were given in Symposium 1, "Recent developments in cell therapy: hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapy," with Professor Atsushi Ooi of the same department as the chairperson and Professor Haruko Tashiro of the School of Medicine of Hematology, Faculty Internal Medicine as the speaker. Five lectures were given in Symposium 2, "Recent developments in transfusion testing: red blood cells, quality control of transfusion testing, quality control of HLA testing, transfusion side effect analysis, platelets," with Professor Fujiwara as the chairperson and Rieko Maejima of the Transfusion and Cell Therapy Center, Faculty of School of Medicine Hospital, who is also a graduate of Jichi Medical University, as the speakers.
This meeting was attended by 238 people from various professions involved in transfusion medicine, including doctors, clinical laboratory technician, nurses, and pharmacists, making it a very meaningful event.
