At the Korean Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2024 (KSGE Days 2024) held in Seoul, South Korea on Friday, September 27th and Saturday, September 28th, 2024, Professor Sugimoto Maki and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi Takumi of the Innovation Lab Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University Teikyo University, won the Excellent E-Poster Award for their presentation titled "Development of wearable head-mounted immersive multimodal endoscopic & robotic laparoscopic GI surgery assist system." This award is given to outstanding research presentations in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy, and the research and innovative technology of Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi have been highly praised internationally.
Founded in 1976, the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE) is the leading academic organization in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy in Korea, promoting research, education, and technology sharing in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy both domestically and internationally. The annual academic conference attracts participants not only from Korea but also from around the world, and serves as a forum for experts to gather and discuss the latest research findings and technological advances.
The latest technology and research results in gastrointestinal endoscopy were discussed at this event, with Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Professor said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved in this research. I will continue to promote research and development activities at our institute and university."
This award recognizes Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi's many years of innovative technological development efforts. The following are some of the results of the research grant.
