We have signed a business partnership agreement with FC Tokyo regarding sports medicine support.

On Saturday, September 14, 2024, Teikyo University (Chairman and President Yoshihito Okinaga) and Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd. (FC Tokyo/CEO Shigeya Kawagishi) signed a business partnership agreement for sports medicine support. The purpose of this agreement is to manage player conditioning and create an environment where each player can maximize their abilities. Through this partnership agreement, we will work toward "managing player conditioning and improving performance," "injury prevention," and "faster recovery from injuries."

Comment from Chairman of Teikyo University and President Yoshihito Okinaga

To date, we have made great strides with FC Tokyo in educational activities, such as special classes on sports business and active learning, and have provided full support for injury prevention and treatment for FC Tokyo players by using our clinic and dispatching team doctors. With this agreement, we hope to utilize the functions of our Sports Medicine Center, which we are proud of, and to expand our support for FC Tokyo and further strengthen and develop our relationship, based on our university's management policy of "giving back and contributing to society with the knowledge we possess" and the vision of our Sports Medicine Center of "strengthening Japanese sports."

Comment from Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO of Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd.

As a club partner, we have been working on various initiatives with Teikyo University, both for the students at Teikyo University and for FC Tokyo's hometown.
We have now signed a new business partnership agreement, and Teikyo University will provide FC Tokyo players with Japan's top-level sports medicine support. Managing the condition of players and improving their performance is important to get through a long season. This business partnership will mark the start of a strong support system and a new partnership. Please keep an eye on future efforts between Teikyo University and FC Tokyo in the field of sports medicine.
