We signed an MOU with University of Coimbra in Portugal.

On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Teikyo University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with University of Coimbra (Portugal). Founded in 1290, University of Coimbra is the oldest university in Portugal and consists of eight faculties. It also oversees the Coimbra Group, an academic and cultural federation of 39 comprehensive European universities.

University of Coimbra This agreement was made possible with the full cooperation of Mr. Vítor Sereno, Ambassador of Portugal to Japan, and Mr. Makoto Ota, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Japan in Portugal. In the future, we plan to promote a variety of exchanges, including the Teikyo-Coimbra Simulation Center Conference, a historical analysis of the two countries' exchanges from a contemporary perspective based at Hachioji Campus, and mutual visits and study by undergraduate students and Graduate School students, all of whom have long been in contact with . Furthermore, it is expected to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations between Japan and Portugal beyond the university framework, with the participation of the embassies of both countries.
