On Friday, May 24, 2024, Teikyo University Faculty of Fukuoka Medical Technology submitted a request to Omuta City for the installation of street lights. The school's dean, Futoshi Mihara, requested that "there are few street lights in the section from Omuta Station to Teikyo University Fukuoka Campus, and it is very dark at night. We would like street lights to be installed to prevent accidents and crimes and to create new appeal for Omuta City." In response, Omuta Mayor Yoshitaka Seki and City Council Chairman Haruo Tokunaga expressed their intention to "consider installing street lights, as we believe that this will greatly affect the impression of the city of Omuta."
Our university will continue to contribute to improving the city through collaboration with the local community.
