On Friday, April 19, 2024, an exchange event for new international students was held at Teikyo University's Hachioji Campus. At Hachioji Campus, international exchange assistants are active in supporting international students and planning exchange events between Japanese students and international students, and act as a promoter of international exchange. This exchange event was planned as the first opportunity for new international students to interact with each other and with the international exchange assistants.
More than 50 students, including new international students and international exchange assistants, participated on the day, and enjoyed self-introductions and simple games in Japanese, led by the international exchange assistants. At first, they seemed nervous, but gradually they opened up and deepened their friendships through the games.
At the end of the event, the International Exchange Assistant explained that OUCHI COMMONS serves as a place for international exchange within the university, and sent a message to the new international students, saying, "Please continue to actively participate in events to deepen your exchanges."
Our university will continue to increase opportunities for interaction between international students and Japanese students, primarily through international exchange assistants, and provide a venue for international exchange on campus.
