Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi received Travel Grant Awards at the International Society for Liver Surgery 2024 and the Korean Society of Hepato-Biliary Surgery 2024

International Society for Liver Surgery 2024 (ISLS STS 2024 Seoul) held in Seoul, South Korea from March 18th (Mon) to 19th (Tue), 2024, and in Seoul, South Korea from March 20th (Wed) to 23rd (Sat), 2024. At Assistant Professor Professor SURGERY WEEK 2024 59th International Conference of the Korean Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University of Hepatobiliary Surgery held at "for conveying optimal techniques and spatial maneuvers in robotic and laparoscopic hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery" received the Travel Grant Award.

The International Society for Liver Surgery ISLS is a biennial conference held around the world to promote scientific advancement and dissemination of hepatobiliary surgery, (living donor and post-mortem) liver transplantation, minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic), and endoscopic treatments. HBP SURGERY WEEK is an annual event organized by the Korean Society of Hepatobiliary Surgery (KAHBPS) to highlight academic and educational developments in the Surgery treatment of liver, biliary tract, and pancreatic diseases. It has been held annually since 2017 to promote the project to the world.

The award-winning presentation was about a system that integrates XR technology and metaverse space to record, share, and pass down optimal surgical techniques in robotic surgery and laparoscopic hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery as spatial movements. The award was received in recognition of the research results of the company. Professor Sugimoto said, ``I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in this research.I will continue to work hard to improve the quality of research and education activities at Okinaga Research Institute of Teikyo University and the University's School of Medicine, and to develop excellent human resources.'' did. We look forward to the future successes of Professor Sugimoto and Assistant Professor Sueyoshi.
