In a bid to cultivate a spirit of self-driven learning and innovation among its student body, Teikyo University recently hosted the gripping finale of the Teikyo University Business Idea Contest 2023, the third installment of its kind this year. Held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the vibrant Teikyo University Hachioji Campus, the event served as a beacon for budding entrepreneurs, showcasing their ingenuity and resilience. The contest, a cornerstone of the Entrepreneurship Education Support Program, attracted a staggering 242 submissions from aspiring entrepreneurs. From this pool of talent, a select group of finalists emerged, their ideas reflecting a diverse tapestry of innovation and creativity. Preceding the finals was an intensive training camp held at the picturesque Hakone Seminar House on December 2nd and 3rd, 2023. Here, finalists honed their pitches, refining their presentations under the guidance of seasoned mentors. This immersive experience not only polished their delivery but also fortified their resolve to tackle new frontiers. At the heart of the competition lay the individuality of each participant, as they took to the stage to unveil their vision for the future. Each presentation was a testament to their dedication, offering glimpses into the transformative potential of their ideas.
The culminating award ceremony, graced by Teikyo University's esteemed Chairman and President, Yoshihito Okinaga, alongside the chairman of the jury, was a celebration of innovation in its purest form. Among the accolades bestowed were the prestigious President of Teikyo University Award, the coveted Teikyo “One’s way” Award, and the esteemed Idea Award. These recognitions not only honor excellence but also serve as catalysts for future endeavors. Furthermore, the event saw the gracious acknowledgment of sponsors, with companies such as Acro Holdings, Alsoc, and Toyota Trustee Securities presenting their own distinctive awards.
