Koala Café? is a support program for children and adults of elementary school age who have been informed that a loved one (hereinafter referred to as an adult) has been diagnosed with cancer. The aim is for children to gain accurate knowledge about cancer and its treatment so that adults can cope with changes in their lives due to cancer and be able to control their own emotions.
By sharing your feelings with others who are going through the same experience, it is hoped that you will be relieved of your feelings of loneliness.
Adults also share the common experience of having cancer themselves or caring for a family member with cancer while raising children. Sharing their experiences and worries with other adults can help stabilize their feelings and help children live a calmer life.
