On Thursday, July 4, 2024, Japan Sports Week 2024 was held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo), and Masayuki Iwade, Director of the Teikyo University Sports Bureau, gave a special lecture titled "Team building and player development by great coaches" together with Kimiyasu Kudo, former manager of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks.
Nearly 300 sports instructors and people active in the sports field attended this lecture, and many of them were seen listening intently to the two speakers' talk about team building and player development, and taking notes.
Director Iwade, who has led the team to 10 victories in the National University Rugby Football Championship, spoke about how, as a manager, he kept in mind how to communicate with players, coaches, and staff while building a team that continued to win.
Our university aims to continue contributing to the development of society through sports.
